    Half-Life easy read text PAK
   ===========================================

    MOD NAME: HLtext.PAK
    VERSION: v2.0
    TYPE?: Visual Enhancement PAK
    AUTHOR: Reeb

Version 2.0 adds LEDs to the text set. See the LEDs section below. To see a few of the characters in action, including the LEDs, go to the console and type "exec testchars.cfg". Version 1.0 was never released to the public. Version 1.1 just fixes a few graphics errors that I noticed upon testing.

    ABOUT
    -----

Well, after being sick of not being able to read the default text at high resolution,
and hearing a lot of others feeling the same, I decided to do something about it. Really, the only thing in this
pak is a modified gfx.wad. All of the high ascii characters that work with the original text should work just fine
with this pak. I just made larger characters for those of us that have bad eyesight and play in high resolution.
The characters that *were* dark brown have been made green, as it is easier to see.

    INSTALLATION
    ------------

Just extract the .Pak file into your Half-Life\valve or Half-Life\tfc directory and rename it to where the "T"
in the name is replaced by the next number for the existing pak files you have. For instance, if you have a pak0.pak
and a pak1.pak, you would rename this pak to pak2.pak. If you put it in the valve folder, it should work for regular
Half-Life and all mods unless the mod itself has something to override it. In that case, you would have to stick this
Pak in the mod folder also. Also, if you put this pak in the \valve\ folder, you will have to find the file
named gfx.wad and rename it to something like OLDgfx.wad. Don't delete it just in case you ever want to go back to the
original Half-Life text. NOTE: I ran into some sort of bug with a user made tfc map that will dump you out of the game
if you have this pak installed in the /valve/ directory. Seems that it called for the default gfx.wad only for some
reason. But I moved the pak back into the TFC directory and it worked with the same map on the same server just fine. So I recommend that if you want to use this with mods like TFC, then put it in the mod directory instead of
    the /valve/ folder.

By using some high-ascii text, you can use colored blocks in your say and say_team messages. Therefore certain positions (like flag defense) can ignore certain communications if the color that is used pertains to offense instead of defense. Below is a listing of the colored blocks you can use with this pak. Open up your .cfg files and paste the character listed, or hold alt and type the numbers listed with the NUMPAD numbers only. (the ones on the right side of your keyboard)
