Pointe Du Hoc (Objective)

By Alex Jordan, aka AlejandroDaJ

It's June 6, 1944. Elements of the Colonel James Rudder's
2nd Ranger Battalion must make a daring high-tide landing
at the cliffs of Pointe Du Hoc on the Cotentin Peninsula.
Their mission: to destroy the 155mm artillery guns that can
endanger the landings at the Utah and Omaha beaches.

RED TEAM:
Take the flare that is sitting on the beach and make your way
inland. Beware prepared enemy firing positions and enemy
reinforcements approaching from your rear. Carry the flare to
the top of the 155s casemate and plant it. This will signal a
flyby from waiting P-47s that will bomb the casemate.

BLUE TEAM:
Halt the invaders at any cost. At your disposal are initial
spawn points at the top of the cliff (SPAWNING ON THE CLIFF
LASTS FOR 30 SECONDS PER ROUND), and a teleport from your spawn
to bunkers situated behind the cliff (THE DOORS PREVENTING
TELEPORT USE OPEN 6 MINUTES INTO A ROUND), numerous MG-42
machineguns, and prepared firing positions.

NOTES:
Blue team spawns on the initially so that it can massacre
Red team. This will be the only beach landing map in existence
for HL where it is anticipated that the invaders will be harmed
by heavy fire... as it was for our forefathers sixty years ago.
However, to make up for this, Blue only spawns on the cliff for
thirty seconds, and Red team has a sizable advantage in initial
reinforcements.
When a Red team member caps, he receives ten points. All other
team members receive five points. Red force also gains several
reinforcements from the cap. The flare DOESN'T return when
dropped or if the carrier is killed... remember where it is!
The map isn't geographically accurate. It isn't meant to be.
