Setting up a server:
--------------------
For setting up a dedicated server, simply copy the anserver.bat into your Quake 2 root dir and run it from there. For customizing your server you can modify the server.cfg in your Annihilate! dir.

Weapon Bans:
------------
New in version 1.6 is that every weapon except the Blaster can be banned from a map by the server. This may be necessary if the server gets too laggy because of the huge amount of entities created by several weapons (e.g. double gatling). Setting one of the cvars to 1 bans a weapon, a value of 0 indicates that the weapon will spawn in the map. The cvars are as follows:

sv_ban_plasmagun
sv_ban_shockrifle
sv_ban_sniperrifle
sv_ban_gatling
sv_ban_doublegatling
sv_ban_mortar
sv_ban_mines
sv_ban_rocketlauncher
sv_ban_flamethrower
sv_ban_railgun
sv_ban_bfg10k

Mine Die:
---------
In former versions of Annihilate! a planted mine existed as long as someone shot it or the map was restarted. This can now be changed with the sv_mine_die cvar. If you want a mine to be killed after a certain time, simply set the cvar to any value different from 0 (per default it is 120 which means 2 minutes until the mine disappears).

Lights:
-------
The new server variable sv_lightsout handles the lighting of a map. Every map can be played standard with normal light (sv_lightsout 0), "in the evening" with dim light (sv_lightsout 1) or "at night" with almost no light (sv_lightsout 2).

Most of the server settings require a map restart after you change them.
