Quake and Conquer thing.

Version 1.1

The scene shows darkness, broken only by a spotlight illuminating a director's chair. In
said chair sits a lone programmer. He appears a callow youth, dressed in dark cargo pants,
and a long-sleeved Levi's t-shirt. His eyes meet you through the pair of thin framed
glasses that rest on his face.

"Ah, there you are." he begins. "For those of you joining us for the first time, welcome.
For those of you for whom this is the second trip on the roundabout, thanks for sticking
with us. I'm sure you are all wondering as to the delights this instalment of Quake and
Conquer brings."

At this point, he raises a hand, palm facing away from you and ticks off the following
points as he makes them.

"Firstly, we can offer softer, less crumbly code, in the immortal, bastardised words of an
unknown Play-Dough marketer. Hopefully, the bugs those of you pointed out to us have been
fixed. Secondly, Quake and Conquer now offers new game modes to excite even the most jaded
of palates: teamplay and Capture the Flag. To activate the new game modes, either (in the
case of teamplay) use the deathmatch flags menu from the multiplayer menu of Quake, or (in
the case of CTF), pull down the console and set ctf 1. Thirdly, a new building has been
added, " Here, he holds up to fingers from each hand, making inverted commas in the air.

"The Aerodrome. This building is now responsible for your flying units, including the new
Super Flyer. You can still build technicians and flyers from your Control Centre, but the
icarus, the carrier and the new super flyer can be built from the Aerodrome. You can build
an Aerodrome after you have built a Bio-Assimilator."

"Well, that's about all we have time for today, I hope you enjoy the new version of Quake
and Conquer, it's been fun doing this, and thanks for watching."

With that, he waves to you, just before the spotlight dims, and the room is once more filled
with complete darkness.
