 1) Requirements

a: Quake 3 Arena installed, configured and updated with the
latest official point release (v1.17n as of present).

b: DXmedia installed (windows media player, indeo5.04 codec)
       for playing the dracula.avi movie.

c: Capability of having a BLAST!!!

 2) What is Dracula for Quake III?

Dracula is a character for Quake III Arena with
Bot, Chat, Team (red & blue) and Sound support.

 3) How do I use dracula after I install it?

a: Start Quake3 Arena and if/when your internet dialer comes
up select 'Work Offline' as you wont need to be online to
play against the bots in this example.

b: When the Quake3 Arena main menu comes up select the
       'Multiplayer' button.

c: On the top of the Arena Servers menu select

       'Servers: Local'

This will allow you to play a quasi-multiplayer game
within your computer against the bots. Now select the
'Create' button at the bottom of the menu.

d: On the 'Game Server' menu you may select the type of
game (Free For All, Team DM, ect) and a map to play in.
Press the 'Next' button after making your choices.

e: Your character's name is now at the top of a Player List.
Change an 'Open'/'Closed' spot in the list to 'Bot' then
select the name that appears next to it to open up the
'Select Bot' menu. Select a bot icon and press the
'Accept' button to fill that player spot.

note: In a team game you can also a change the color
in the Player List (ex. You want to be blue).

f: Select the options in the lower right hand corner menu's
                           'Frag Limit: 0-?'
                           'Time Limit: 0-?'
                          'Pure server: Off'
                            'Dedicated: No'
                             'Hostname: your choice of name...'

note: In team games 'Friendly Fire: Off/On'
In Capture The Flag games 'Capture Limit: 0-?'

g: Select the 'Fight' button this will start the game.

 4) How do I use one of the models as my own skin in the game?

a: Press the '~' key anytime while running around in a
multiplayer game to bring down the Quake3 Arena console.

b: With the console down type the command below and press Enter

         \model dracula

The above command will change your player into the default
dracula. You may further refine the use of this command by
adding a skin name to the model directory command as in the
     examples below.

         \model dracula/blue
                               or
         \model dracula/red

You now will be either a Blue or Red team skin dracula
without even playing a team game. You may substitute any
of the other q3a skin/bot names for 'dracula' in the above
three commands (ex. /model sarge ).

note: Skin changes may or maynot take place until after
you have been fragged/re-spawned. If so you will
see a circled / over your player icon until your
demise. Custom skins may or maynot be supported
by some Quake3 Arena servers on the internet as
they may be running a Pure server.

 5) Other cool Quake3 Arena console commands

a: To change maps in mid-play type the command below and
       press Enter.

         /map q3dm10

note: You may substitute any map name you have
installed or inside of your baseq3 folder
for the name 'q3dm10' in the above command.

b: To play in 3rd-Person perspective mode (ex. Heretic II)
type the command below and press Enter.

         /cg_thirdperson 1

You will now see your character onscreen from behind.

To return to 1st-Person perspective mode (normal)
type the command below and press Enter.

         /cg_thirdperson 0

You will now be back in the normal Quake view mode.
