Commands and
Variables
The following commands and variables have been added in JB:PoW. The most important settings and key bindings are accessible from the game menus. You can also set the variables and bind keys to the commands through the console or by specifying them in your config file. Remember to prefix the commands with a "/" when entering them in the console.
| jailfollow [clientnum or name] or follow [clientnum or name] |
Follow someone from jail. "[clientnum_or_name]" can be left out to follow the "next" teammate. Automatically exits if the jail door opens. Be careful with this command if you are not the only one in jail. Since escaping requires teamwork, your other cellmates may want your help in trying to escape. |
| jailfollownext or follownext |
Follow next teammate (can also use "attack" key). |
| jailfollowprev or followprev |
Follow previous teammate. |
| cam | Activates the security camera. You must be standing in front of a security monitor for this command to work. When you are in front of a usable monitor, "Cam" will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. Enter the command again will deactivate the security camera. |
| radiomenu [1-9] or radio_team [1-9] |
Play a voice
radio message. If no number is specified, this will
pop-up a menu, from which you can select a voice message
by pressing your numeric weapon keys. If you specify a
parameter of 1-9 on the command, you will immediately
play the corresponding voice message: 1 - Roger that! 2 - Attack now! 3 - Defend the base! 4 - I'm going on offense 5 - I'm on defense 6 - I'm coming to free you 7 - Incoming! 8 - Incoming low! 9 - Incoming high! |
| me <msg> | Send everyone a console message with your name at the beginning, and that <msg> coming after. This is like the IRC /me command for Quake3. You can do the same thing from the "messagemode" command by prefixing your message with "/me". |
| me_team <msg> | Like the "me" command, but only your team will see the message. You can do the same thing from the "messagemode2" command by prefixing your message with "/me". |

controls the settings that the players will not be able
to vote on with the "callvote" command. Just
set this variable to anything you don't want to allow on
the server. (default: "") As with standard Quake3, you can disable all callvote commands by setting the Quake3 variable "g_allowvote" to 0. This has no effect on the map voting between matches. The following options can be specified: map_restart, exitmap, nextmap, map, g_gametype, kick, clientkick, g_doWarmup, timelimit, fraglimit, capturelimit, g_selfDamage, g_gauntletjump, g_lightningDischarge Examples: sv_novote "g_gauntletjump" - Will not allow players to change the gauntlet jump. sv_novote "g_backpack g_selfdamage g_gauntletjump capturelimit timelimit clientkick kick map nextmap" - Will not allow players to change most settings. Players could still, for example, "callvote exitmap" to end the current map and go on to the next one. |
| sv_maprotation <cfg file> | Specifies the

(default "") If this is not specified (""), JB:PoW will look in "server.cfg". See Map Rotation for more information. |
