Installation

Installation of JB:PoW is simple:

If you downloaded the installer:
Run the installer and follow the directions.

If you downloaded the zip file:
Unzip all files directly into your "Quake III Arena" directory. When unzipping, be sure the "Use Folder Names" option is selected. A folder named "jbpow" will be created, and the files will be placed in this folder.

You will now be able to choose "Jailbreak: Prisoners of War" from the Quake3 mods menu, or from one of the shortcuts created by the installer.

This document contains a page that lists all the Commands and Variables used in JB:PoW. Most of these settings can be ignored unless you are running a server or participating in clan games. Of all the settings listed on that page, players should be aware of the following client commands in particular:

• radiomenu - Allows you to use the team voice commands.
• jailfollow - Allows you to watch the action while you are in jail. Be careful with this command if you are not the only one in jail. Since escaping requires teamwork, your other cellmates may want your help in trying to escape.
• cam - Allows you to use security cameras.

You can bind keys to these commands in the in-game options.
