conflict. Access this menu by choosing the Options button on the
main menu and choosing the Choose Character option.
Team
You can play as one of two teams: Strike Force or Terrorists.

Biography

that affect they way they function in-game. Here, you can learn

detail. Read the bio to get more information on your characters
advantages and weaknesses.

to change the interface in Strike Force, just as it does in Unreal
Tournament. You can access the Preferences menu by selecting Options
from the main menu and choosing Preferences. Unless
otherwise noted, Strike Force 1.75 uses all of your settings for
Unreal Tournament!
Game
Use this menu to configure aspects of Strike Force, including the
appearance of the Strike Force HUD and the "scope render fix".
Scope Render Fix: Some video cards
have difficulty displaying through the scopes correctly. If you
see black when using the secondary fire on a scoped weapon, check
the box.
Dodging: Dodging must be enabled in
order to allow your character to sprint. (see the Features
of Strike Force section of this manual for more on sprinting)
Check the box to enable Dodging.
Inventory Opaque: This option changes
the background of the inventory to a solid color rather than translucent.
Info on HUD: Gives the player the option
to show or hide Team Info, the health icon and the heartbeat icon
on the Heads Up Display. One or all of these features can be deactivated
here.
Controls
Playing Strike Force requires you to set, or bind, keys
in order to fully enjoy the unique features Strike Force adds to
Unreal Tournaments standard gameplay. The key below shows
you the default key assignments and explains their function in-game
briefly. For more information, see the Features of Strike
Force section of this manual.
NOTE:
Unless otherwise noted, Strike Force uses your default Unreal Tournament
keys and settings!
Fire: Left Mouse Button
Player fires the weapon he/she is currently holding. Firing becomes
more accurate when used in conjunction with the Aim mode.
Alternate Fire/Aim: Right Mouse Button
Player brings the weapon up to shoulder/eye level to achieve better
accuracy. This means the player will also look through the scope
or sites of the weapon he/she is holding. For the grenades, Aim
becomes the roll grenade function, rather than throw grenade.
Move Forward: W
Player runs forward (or walks if Autorun is disabled - by default,
Autorun is on). If Dodging is enabled (it is by default), double-tapping
Forward causes the player to sprint, but this can tire him/her heavily
if not used carefully.
Move Backward: S
Player backpedals.
Strafe Left: Q
Player sidesteps to the left.
Strafe Right: E
Player runs to the right.
Jump/Up: Shift
Player jumps. Note that excessive jumping with heavy equipment causes
you to get tired, increasing your heartrate.
Crouch/Down: Ctrl or Space
Player ducks and crawls while Crouch is held. This allows the player
to enter tight spaces.
Flashlight: Middle Mouse Button
Player activates a military flashlight, perfect for navigating dark
areas. Hitting Flashlight a second time toggles the flashlight off.
Nightvision:
Nightvision is a more stealthy way of seeing in the dark, but limits
your field of vision significantly. You can toggle it on and off
with this key.
Inventory: I
The Inventory key allows you to access your Inventory during the
game and to operate Inventory Stations. (see the Features
of Strike Force section, The Inventory Station
of this manual for more information)
Activate: X
The Activate key allows your character to operate elevators, doors,
hostages and other parts of the game world.
Secondary Weapon: Mouse Wheel Up
If your character is carrying more than one weapon, the Secondary
Weapon key will switch from the weapon currently in your hands to
one in the Secondary Weapon slot in your Inventory, and back again.
Lay Prone
Going prone laying on your belly is the best way to
maximize both your weapon accuracy and your use of cover. Press
the Prone key to drop to the ground in the Prone position, and press
Prone again to get up. Remember you cannot move while in
the Prone position, so you use wisely.
Say: T
Allows you to send messages to everyone on the server. Hit the Talk
key, type your message, and then hit Enter. Your message will be
broadcast to everyone on the server. Note that this feature does
not work if youre dead you will only be able to speak
with other players who are dead.
Team Say: R
Allows you to send private messages to everyone ON YOUR TEAM ONLY.
Hit the Team Talk key, type your message, and then hit Enter. Your
message will be broadcast to everyone on your team. Note that this
feature does not work if youre dead - we wouldnt want
you giving away enemy positions now, would we? :)
Show Voice Menu: V
Allows you to choose from a range of radio messages and commands.
You can give voice commands to any bot currently on your team. However,
voice commands are strictly voluntary for players. All voice commands
except for taunts are heard by your team ONLY. This feature is not
available when you are dead. (For more information on voice commands
and keybinding, see The Tactical Manual voice menu section
of this manual)
Switch Firing Mode:
This key can perform a number of different functions, depending
upon the weapon you are currently using. It will either change the
rate of fire from full auto to 3-round burst or semiautomatic on
automatic weapons; or on sniper rifles, it changes the current level
of magnification from 6x to 9x.
Reload: MouseWheelDown
Unlike the weapons of Unreal Tournament, Strike Force weapons do
not have a near limitless amount of bullets. Use this key to reload
your weapon with a fresh clip of ammunition when you run out or
to remove the current clip and insert another. Clips that are not
empty are replaced in your Inventory.
Throw Weapon: Semicolon
When you hit the Throw Weapon key, you will throw the weapon you
are currently holding to the ground in front of you. This is good
for getting rid of weapons you dont have ammunition for, passing
weapons to teammates or for lightening your encumbrance.
Map Vote/Kick Vote:
Depending on the servers options, this key will allow you
to vote for new maps at the end of the round or vote to kick other
players who are disruptive, team-killers or who are otherwise ruining
the game.
