** The Story **
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Evil Toaster Empire has invaded Earth. Their mission: to replace
all cereal with toastable breakfast items. Not wanting to be toasted,
CerealMan!, an english muffin, ripped his way out of the bag that he
came in, planning to make a daring escape. Looking around, he realized
that the only way to save himself would be to chase the toasters back
to their base and destroy it. And hey, he might as well have some
cereal on the way there, right?

** Story FAQ **
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I see the story, credits, and how to play the game?
A: Look under INFO in the main menu.

Q: What's the difference between the two characters?
A: How they look and where they start. Other than that, they
    are just the same.

Q: How do CerealMan and Ms. CerealMan see without eyes?
A: That's why you have to help them!

Q: Fine then. How do they eat?
A: The same way ALL english muffins eat. Duh!

** Interface FAQ **
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Episode Zero? Where are the other episodes?
A: In the full version of the game! See ordering info at the top and
    bottom of this document.

Q: Where did my save file go?
A: You must load the saved game from the episode that you saved it from.
See the above question to learn how to flip between episodes.

Q: Whoa, this game runs to fast or slow or something.
A: Go in to the options menu. The speed is the first option. I know,
you normally don't think of speeds as things like Walrus or Starfish,
but this isn't a "normal" game.

Q: Where's the high score list?
A: Just like the game with the yellow dude that looks like CerealMan!,
there is no high score list! It's more authentic or something.

** Hardware FAQ **
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How can I get my sound card to work?
A: You must either:
    1. Have a SET BLASTER in your Autoexec.bat (consult your sound cards
documentation). This is *usually* done automaticly by Win95.
    2. Edit the IRQ, DMA, and BASE (port) in Cereal.ini (not recommended)

Q: How can I change the controllers?
A: The game supports two player keyboard and two joysticks. To set your
controller, use the options menu. Push the controller of your choice
to either Player 1 or Player 2 (left or right).

Q: Why isn't my joystick working?
A: Chances are, it's because the joystick wasn't centered when you started
the game. Quit the game, and start again with the joystick centered.
If this doesn't work, it could mean that your joystick isn't compatible.
This can cause the game to do odd things, like lockup and run slowly.

** Other FAQ **
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Are there any hacks I can do?
A: Maybe. There's at least one "simple" hack - you can play as a toaster
if you change just one variable...

Q: How about cheat codes?
A: No comment.

Q: I found a bug!
A: Hey, that's not a question! But you can send your bug us. See
contacting EricSoft at the bottom of this document. (Please do not
send us actual bugs. We hate that!)

Q: How do I change from one Episode to another?
A: I thought you'd ask. In the Registered Version, you push the left and
right keys (on the keypad) to change between Training, Episode One and
Episode Two. In the Shareware Version, you're stuck with Training.

Q: Come on, tell me the cheat codes?
A: No comment.

Q: I KNOW I've heard the CerealMan! theme song somewhere before...
A: All I have to say is: Sorry Westwood, but I had to do it :-)
