Some information on the usage of units ...

BLANK_1_28.gif (814 bytes) Moving ... BLANK_80_5.gif (837 bytes)
BLANK_80_5.gif (837 bytes)
When you move your units across the map, they lose movement points. Units with ie 2 points can move up to 2 tiles each round, however there is terrain that is more difficult to be traveled across than others. When you are moving close to enemy units and cities, your unit spends more of its moving points, too.

There is a maximum of 3 units on each tile. If you want to move a unit to a place already occupied by 3 of your units you will first have to move away one of the three others.

Remember that the things you do within your turn are just "orders" that will be executed when they have arrived at the server. For example you can order one of your units to move to a certain tile that is unoccupied, but another player has finished his turn faster than you and has occupied this tile before you ... in this case the server will move your unit as far as possible and then stop it when the way is barred.

When one unit fights another, the attackers attack-value and the terrain he stands on is compared with the defenders defence-value and terrain, combined with a certain random factor. The units keep fighting as long as one has lost all of its hitpoints, the other may suffer some damage, too.

If you attack a tile with more than one enemy on, your unit will attack every unit one after another (in a random order) until either the attacker or all the defenders are destroyed.

BLANK_80_5.gif (837 bytes)
When a unit attacks a city-tile, it first tries to erase the defending units in the city (which gain a heavy bonus!). After that it attacks the city itself. Empty enemy cities have no defence at all, so this attack will definitely be successful.

What happenes next depends on what type your attacking unit is of. The only unit capable of conquering cities is infantry - so an infantry unit will marches, conquers the city and gets disposed. When your attacker can't conquer cities the city production gets destroyed but the city will remain with its original owner.

As written above, enemy cities without units in it are defenceless. Empty neutral cities are not completely without defence, anyway they are pretty easy to invade ...
