- Using Prefabs -

What are Prefabs?

When making missions, you'll soon realise you need to add the same actors and teams over and over. Or imagine making a mission where you need to insert 2 SWAT teams. To do this you first have to make a team and then add and configure every member of that team.
Prefabs can help you with this process. The Mission Editor has a set of pre-built actors and teams that you can use to add in your own mission without you having to create them yourself.

How to use prefabs in your missions

The drop-down list at the top allows you to hcoose between actors or teams. The drop-down list just below lets you choose a specific group of prefabs. The main part of the Prefab window consists of the list of actual prefabs.
You can add these by drag and dropping them in the project form.
If you want to add an actor to a specific team, simply drag the selected actor from the prefab list over the team, to which you want to add the actor, in the project form.

Viewing/editing prefabs

Right-click a prefab and select 'View/edit'. You can now see the properties of a prefab and eventually change them.

Adding and deleting your own prefabs

How to add prefabs:
First you'll have to create the actor/team just like you would add a regular actor/team to a mission. Then copy the actor/team to the clipboard (right-click - Copy).
Once you've copied the actor/team, you'll have to paste it in the Prefabs list by right-clicking the Prefab list and select 'Paste as prefab'. That's all you have to do.

How to delete prefabs:
Right-click a prefab and select 'Delete'.

Advanced operations.

You can create/delete your own Prefab Groups as well (= the items in the second drop down list). First of all, click the '+' button in the upper right corner of the Prefab form.
Simply click the 'Add' button and give in a name for the new group.
If you want to delete a group, just select it and click the 'Delete' button.
Renaming a group is done by selecting it and clicking the 'Edit' button.

You can also import and export prefabs.
Click the 'import' button and select the prefab file you wish to import.
You can export the current Prefab Group by clicking the 'export' button.
