{version v.05 - the tweek file has been modified, party behavior has been toned down a little and monster health has been increased by 5 - 15% across the board. Makes things just a pinch more difficult for your team. Nothing extreme though. This change makes the tweek quite a bit different than ExpertAI mod - and IMHO better ;) )

{version v.04 added optional file myros_tweek.dres - details below }

{version notes: v.03 Changed the camera view a little - you can now view from close to ground level looking straight ahead}

{Version notes: v.02 moved the recruitable NPC in the tavern that was stuck behind the bar ..woops}

This is a quick mod to enable single-player mode on the multi-player map included with Dungeon Siege. It also adds 6 NPCs that can join your party, they are all located in the starting town. 3 are 'free' and can be found close around the area of the smithy where you begin. 3 cost money and can be found in the tavern south of the smithy.

I'd recommend spending some time getting a few levels before recruiting any NPCs as the area where you start is very easy and you wont get much exp with others in your party.

To recruit an NPC just talk with them and then click the "accept" button, due to a quirk in using this map the dialgue box wont close automaticly when you recruit an NPC. Just click 'accept' then click the 'x' to close the box and your all set.

To install this mod you will have to be familiar with tank files, if you dont know how to decompress tank files read through the forum posts for details.

1. Decompress the multi-player map MPWorld.dsmap to a new directory

2. Place the included files in their proper folders (overwrite existing files).

    main.gas ->  world/maps/multiplayer_world/main.gas

    conversations.gas -> world/maps/multiplayer_world/regions/town_center/conversations/conversations.gas

    actor.gas -> world/maps/multiplayer_world/regions/town_center/objects/regular/actor.gas

3. Recompile the tank files and name it something different than the maps that came with the game (that way you wont screw up anything and have to re-install ;) ) Copy the newmap.dsmap into your main game "maps" folder.

4. If you want some extra chalenge copy myros_tweek.dres into the "resources" directory. This will make the map significantly more challenging as it incorporates some elements for the ExpertAI scripts to make enemies smarter and work together more. NOTE: USING THIS TWEEK WILL AFFECT ALL GAMES NOT JUST THIS MAP. If you dont like the results just delete this file from the resources folder. Because of the advantage that having the hirable NPCs can give you I recommend using this tweek to keep the map fun.

5. Start a new single player game and select the new map from the options listed.

Enjoy:)

This is just a beta project until we can get our hands on the real Siege Editor.
