For parabolic Arches a set of power option buttons appear, click on them to view what they do.

For Elliptic arches you can specify the start angle and End angle of the generated Elliptic arch. Start Angle must always be below End angle. This is only refering to One Half the arch. The other half is a duplicate of the first in the opposite direction. Both angles are restricted to between -90 and 90 degrees.

I'm not too keen on writing help documents, but i know i can't throw you into this program with no information. So here goes.

First thing is first. Until you are familiar with how this program works for all objects, I would suggest you first save the information in any programs you might be running. There is surely some bugs that will cause it to crash and you just don't know how windows will handle it.

Second, when loading objects load them into a newly created map file, it is likely possible that you can do something stupid and cause a brush to be created inside out. I didn't do much checking and I never TRY to break it so I never have this problem, but you might.

Now onto how to use it.

Step 1.
Specify the type of object you want from the combo box on the upper left.

Step 2.
Select the options on how you want the object constructed.

Step 3.
Specify the location of the map file being created and then press the Create button.

Step 4.
Import the map file into your editing application. Some editors may not let you do this. Q3Radiant is what I use and I select: File, Load..., and then choose the map file.

Help on Stairs:

If Air Below Steps is checked you will be able to walk under the stairs.

X, Y, Z specify the size of each step. Z is the vertical height of the step, X is the Width of the step, and Y is the Depth of the step.

If Curved is checked then the stairs will be generated along a circle.

Arc Length specifys the number of degrees the steps will travel. If arc Length is 360 degress and Number of Steps is specified as 36 then each step will encompass 10 degrees of the circle. (Here is a place you can do something stupid, specify Number of Steps as 1 and arc length as 360 and see what happens)

Outer Wall will cause walls to be generated, Two for straight stairs, One outer wall for Curved Stairs.

Ceiling will cause a flat ceiling to be generated. Specifying 0 will cause a smooth slanted ceiling to be created. There is a problem that I don't think can be resolved when dealing with Curved stairs and smooth ceilings. It does something wierd.

Help on Cylinders:

Steps per half Cylinder should read Brushes per half Cylinder and specifies the number of brushes that will be created in 1 half the cylinder. Specifying 3 will create a Cylinder with 6 total brushes 3 for each half.

Create Elliptic Cylinders by specifying an x Diameter different than the y Diameter.

Help on Arches:

Surprizingly I spent the most time on Stairs, but Arches are probably the most useful function I provide as making a nice arch can be time consuming by hand.

Square Frame will cause ..... well, just create one with a square frame if you can't guess, its too hard to explain.

You can choose Elliptic or Parabolic Arches.

Depth is how wide the sides of the arch will be. Thats the best i can explain it.

I am currently taking requests on other objects i can generate in code. Email me at eb9@evansville.edu, please see below though.

Feel free to use all you want. Please do not email me after 12/31/2002. I get tired of emails from people 7 years after i do something.... ie TDK. No I will not help you develop a Free Mod for quake, quake2, quake3, Doom3, Half Life, Unreal, UT, Q3TA, blah blah blah.
