The program should be simple and straightforward, so I'll just make some helpful notes here.

 - [Save to Config] button saves directly to config, and [Save Select] button will allow you to select mods to which the name will be selected. In case no mods are present, only the 'Selected config file' mod will be shown, which equals to [Save to Config] button.
 - You can add the currently entered name with the [Add to Fav] button, and view all the favorites via the [Favorites] button. Selecting a name in the Favorites dialog via the [Select] button will replace the currently entered name with the selected one.
 - Certain chars that you can select are not visible(on some platforms) in the input field, but will be preserved.
 - There are no limits on have many favorites you can make.
 - The program always makes a backup of your old configuration file when you save(it is given the .bak extension, and is at the same location as the config file). It will not touch your config file if it cannot make a backup.
 - If the program cannot find the config file you last chose, it will rever to the default one. The program uses the config file location to also determine the locations of other mods.
 - The program will load your last used player name from the OA config file, if it can. If not it loads from it's own configuration file.
 - You can choose to store the oanc configuration file in the same directory, if for some reason oanc fails to save to the usual location (access denied or unusual characters in path).
 - The writeconfighere file in the oanc directory indicates that the oanc configuration file should be stored at the same location as oanc. If you erase this file oanc will assume default location for configuration.
  - The orange color can only be used with OpenArena 0.8.5 or newer.
