The program should be simple and straightforward, so I'll just make some helpful notes here.

 - The default config file should be automatically selected.
 - The presence of your mods is determined by the selected config file (as the mods are always in a relative location).
 - When selecting mods, check the checkbox next to the name of mods you want to select (save to or load from).

[ SAVING NAME ]

 - [Save] button saves directly to the selected OA config file, and [Save to Mods] button will allow you to select mods to which the name will be selected. In case no mods are present, only the mod containing the 'OpenArena Configuration File' set in 'Options' window (usually 'baseoa') will be shown, which equals to the [Save] button.

If you want to save to all mods without using the [Save to Mods] dialog then you can use the [Save All] button.

 - Even if you do not save your name the name will be saved to the OANC configuration file and reloaded the next time you open the program. If you want to revert to the last saved name in the OANC configuration file, you can click the CFG button above the name input.

[ FAVORITES ]

 - You can add the currently entered name with the [Add to Fav] button, and view all the favorites via the [Favorites] button.

Selecting a name in the Favorites dialog via the [Select] button will replace the currently entered name with the selected one. You cannot add a duplicate favorite name, and if you want to you can always remove a favorite via the [Remove] button.

[ OTHER ]

 - You can load a name or names that are already present in your mod config files by using the [Load Name(s)] button. This will allow you to select names which you want and add them to favorites.
 - Certain chars that you can select are not visible (on some platforms) in the input field, but will be preserved.
 - There are no limits on have many favorites you can make.
 - The program always makes a backup of your old OpenArena configuration file when you save the default OA configuration file or mods (it is given the .oancbak extension, and is at the same location as the old OA configuration file). It will not touch your OA config file if it cannot make a backup first.
 - If the program cannot find the OpenArena configuration file you last chose, it will revert to the default one.
 - The program will load your last used player name from the OANC configuration file. If you want to load
the name from your default OpenArena configuration file, click the OA button at the top.
 - You can choose to store the OANC configuration file in the same directory as the program via the "Save OANC configuration to its own directory" in the configuration window, if for some reason OANC fails to save to the usual location. The writeconfighere file indicates whether this should be done. If you erase this file OANC will assume default location for configuration.

[ NOTES ON COLORS ]
 - The orange color can only be used with OpenArena version 0.8.5 or newer.
 - In OA 0.8.5 black text will appear white in players names. In later versions of OA (and OAX) this is/will be changed so that it happens only when all the characters are black.
