Play modes: Anarchy, Great for picking dogfights, don't worry about
getting struck by an annonymous missile. Excellent for one
		on one dog fighting.
                Team, Perfect for teams.
Flag, Great for Flag, Make the even numbered players
blue and the odd numbered players red.
Single Player, A good little target practice.

Description: One very big room. All players get equal weapons. No
random distribution of weapons. No big power-ups.

Bugs: None Known.

Time: It took Weeks to make this thing! It is my first and
		possibly last series of levels.

Comments: (See Meta-Physics)
This level is large but runs smooth. It CAN lag more than
most, though, because of the number of laser shots
floating around at any given moment in this huge room.
Players should take this into account when choosing options
at the start. If you have suggestions, send them.

Special Thanks:	First I'd like to thank Interplay and Parallax. Also the
folks at Kali. Certainly I'd like to thank KoolBear and also
Pooterman for sponsoring their great websites. Also
thanks to the Descent Rangers for hosting a club with
intelligent and civil players. (Not that they are the only
ones but many players can be very juvenile.)

Meta-Physics:

Let's face it. Since the mid 1980's the modern warplane has become little
more than a vehicle for carrying missiles. Even in the 1970's the USA had
the ability to destroy other nations at just the touch of a button using
missiles that were more accurate than D2's guided missiles and more
powerful than the earth-shakers.

It is not surprising, then, that when playing D2 the most successful
players use just a few skills.

1: Knowing the mine like the back of your hand and knowing where the big
power-ups will appear. (If you have logged any time on Kali
then you probably realize that the power-ups really do not appear at
random but with regularity in the same spots.)

2: Laying smart mines in some key areas and

3: Standing back and lobbing those big missiles.

The best strategy, whether in real life, or single player, or multi player
seems to be cowardly hiding and chucking the big ones.

I wanted to design a mine that would bring the feel and action of an open-
air dogfight to Descent. It would need to be large for the open-air feel,
simple, making it difficult to hide and it would need to be symmetrical,
giving each player the same opportunities and the same weapons. I thought
such a mine would allow players to compete based on flying and shooting
ability alone. It would be a sort of soccer field for Descent.

Something I noticed event the first time I used Descent is that the game
truly does give the player the most control over the most possible
directions and axes of movement. It is truly a 3D game above and beyond
Doom or Duke Nukem. Why then are most of the popular
mines essentially 2 Dimensional? What I mean is that they tend to consist
of tunnels which are long and wide. In order to appreciate the 3
dimensional qualities of Descent there should be as much movement up and
down as there is side to side. You seldom see this. That is one reason I
made Dogfitr as tall as it is wide as it is long. It is 900 meters from
end to end to end to end to end to end. :-) Even though it is so large, it
should be very smooth on most PC's. I had to get out the old trig book to
make this one. Enjoy! -Zig

People say I'm strange. Does it make me a stranger?

You may use this level to build upon, or as a macro, etc. as long as you
tell everyone who made that big room (Neil Zeigler) and what it's name is.
(DogFighter) OK? Please give all players EQUAL power-ups/weapons when you do.
