Corridors

Corridors use the input brushes to build a 2D profile. Then this profile is extruded, and you can build corridors out of it. (For example) Have a look at the corr1.map corr2.map and corr3.map files in the package.

Syntax :

corridor {
data corridor_mapfile
[ begin begin_vector
end end_vector ]
[ path { point_list } ]
[ positioning ]
}

You can put data in any order. MGS will compute corridor length, and scale the mapfile. Then it will be translated, rotated to fit begin_vector and end_vector.
By editing the map files, you can create any new corridors you want. Send me your creations, we'll set up a database!

Path keyword :

You can provide a pointlist, and MGS will compute slices of corridor to fit. Here is an example used for the BSP sample :

// corridor path between first and second room
corridor {
data prefabs/corr4.map
path {
<384,0,0> <512,0,0> <640,-64,-32>
<768,-64,-32> <896,0,-64> <960,128,-96>
<1088,192,-128> <1216,192,-128>
}
}

MGS computes corridor placement according to the path. If you keep changing one coordinate at a time, the corridor will remain "walkable"; if you don't you might see it twist.
