Introduction

MGS is providing you new tools for your level editing needs. It is based on a proprietary scripting language, explained under the scripting syntax overview section. By browsing through the online doc, you will quickly learn all about it. Whenever you feel like using some of the MGS features in your MAPS, run mgswin.exe, type in your script, and MGS will add generated brush data to your map file.

MGS is both a stand-alone software, mgswin.exe that can take text script commands, and a plugin for QERadiant. MGS is free software. It is based on a DLL that loads script files, executes them, and outputs to map files. mgswin.exe is just dealing with setup issues, and UI. The DLL is loaded each time for brush computations.

The DLL source code is available, MGS is placed under the GNU GPL agreement. That means you are welcome to customize it, and add new features. Tutorials should follow on how to compile your own version, see the sources page.
