Map background:
This was the first proper contest map I worked on. Laid it out on paper, along with gameplay ideas. Came out pretty close to my plan. I had to abandon the idea of explodeable vehicles, since their behavior was unreliable (originally there were going to be four skiffs, which you can make destroyable with hacks).
I had fun with the rocks on this one, discovered how to properly push the brush as far as possible to create a quasi-realistic surface with minimal brushes. Fun experiment, which I pushed even further in the second one.
I actually like the base structures in this one. Thought they came out well. It's pretty empty, as I ran out of brushes to clutter up the area. Oh well.

Thanks:

Thanks to onetruepurple for testing this map.
Thanks to Kell for the sweet skybox. And, yeah, Quoth.
Thanks to Sock for making the 100 brush map that re-kindled my interest in this particular restriction.
Thanks to func_msgboard and fellow Quakers for keeping the Quake legacy alive and well.
Thanks to my wife for putting up with my nerdy habits (mapping is only one of many).
Thanks to the other mappers who showed interest in this idea, and made something. You guys make it feel like I didn't waste my time with organizing this event.
