MiniQL: A small Quake 1 Launcher
================================

   MiniQL is a small Quake 1 launcher written in Lazarus/FreePascal ("small" is
 relative -- the executable generated by Lazarus is quite big, but at least it
 compresses nicely :-P). It can be used to run a bunch of custom maps and mods
 for the Quake 1 game by id Software.

   MiniQL scans the Quake 1 directory for maps and mods. It can also scan PAK
 files for the map selection - some mods have their own "start" map or are
 collections of unrelated maps.

   You can find many singleplayer maps at http://www.quaddicted.com/. At this
 site there is also an alternative to MiniQL, called Quake Injector which can
 be found at http://www.quaddicted.com/quake-injector/quake-injector-alpha2/
 and supports automatic downloading from Quaddicted. However if a map is not
 found in Quaddicted (such as most newly released maps - it takes a while for
 them to be uploaded there), Quake Injector cannot find them. Personally i use
 MiniQL for new stuff and Quake Injector for older stuff.

   The latest version of MiniQL can be found at its GitHub repository:
