CUSTOM WORDFILE FOR ULTRAEDIT32
by Eutectic
Last update: 22 July 99

Introduction:

This is a modified version of the standard syntax coloring configuration
file for the excellent text editor UltraEdit32. For those of you who use
it to write WEB pages or Basic, Java or C++, you already know that it
automatically colors the commands, tags, special characters and comments
relevant to each of those languages. This wordfile can also be customized
to add syntax coloration for user-defined languages. So I decided it would
be very useful to add SinScript syntax coloring both to make reading and
writing your scripts easier. It will also allow you to detect simple typos
immediately.

How to install:

Simply unzip the file named wordfile.txt into the "Program files\Ultraedt"
folder and restart Ultraedit32. Then change the SinScript color assignment
scheme to the one described below.

Newest improvements:

1. I have added all the most important SinScript commands that were missing
   from the first version (lots).

2. I reclassified the command categories (and thus coloring) to be more
relevant with the command types (source code-wise), syntax type and the
type of entities to which these apply to (as much as possible).

3. I removed the invalid or obsolete commands + various little fixes.

4. I added the .def file extension to the language. Browsing those in Ultraedit
will now color the script commands too.

5. I improved the coloring scheme both for visibility and more efficient use
of the most visible colors. Please note that you won't see this unless you
change the color scheme in UltraEdit's syntax coloring configuration dialog
yourself as this is not controlled by the wordfile itself. The color settings
for this scheme are listed below. Using it is not absolutely essential but
I recommend that you use it to get optimum results.

Custom color scheme for SinScript:

In order to change these, go to UltraEdit's "Advanced" menu and select
"Configuration". The configuration panel will pop up. Select the "Syntax
Highlighting" tab. Right under the title "color selection", there is a drop
box with the name of the languages: click on the arrow, scroll down the list
and select "SinScript". Underneath the drop box, there are 2 columns of 6
color boxes with the captions on the left of those boxes entitled:

"Word list 1, 2, 3, etc.. up to 8"
"Normal text"
"Comments"
"Strings"
"Numbers"

To change a color, just click on the color box and a standard color selection
dialog will appear. Select the color you want or create a custom one as needed.
Click OK to set the new color.
