This is etqwadmin-irc-bot's README File.

See http://www.joyrex.net/etqwadmin/ for more details.

About/Grand Scheme:
- This bot connects to the specified etqwadmin server and IRC server
- It relays messages from the etqwadmin server to the IRC server
- One day it will be able to send data back

Requirements:
- You'll probably have to download a few extra perl packages. Everything was
available in ubuntu's normal repositories, so I imagine Debian will have them
also. I'm *guessing* Fedora/whoever else will also, they're all pretty
common packages. If all else fails, use CPAN.

- To see what's required, check out the etqwadmin-irc-bot.pl's 'use' lines.
That should give you an idea of what to google for/download/install (i.e., I
did 'apt-cache search poe | grep perl').

Setting up:
- Edit etqwadmin-irc-bot.cfg to your liking.

Running:
- Try running etqwadmin-irc-bot.pl. If you've changed the location/name of
the config file, you'll need to specify the config file as an arguement to
the file, like:
	./etqwadmin-irc-bot.pl myspecialcfg.cfg

Using:
- Only a few commands are implemented so far:
  - !players sends a notice to the use with a list of people online, along
    with a count of bots.
  - ::Blah sends "Blah" to the server.

Contacts
This is rough code, kicked up in a short amount of time. I didn't/don't
know OO-Perl, POE, or any of that. It's been a learning experience. I
probably have some horrible, horrible code in there. You're more than
welcome to improve/submit patches/etc.
