F3L> I have a book, Modern Air Combat, that has illustrations and descriptions F3L>a host of maneuvers for jet fighters. They are easy to understand by the F3L>illustrations, but hard to implement. I can do the split-S, the scissors a F3L>couple of my own. Does anyone have an easy maneuver that you use with a F3L>reasonable amount of success (either one from a book or one of your own)? F3L>would like to know if there are any "magic" maneuvers out there (like one t F3L>is likely to run enemy fighters into the ground.) Speaking of flight 'jargons', could someone point me to a source where I can find some illustrations of flight maneuvers ? I have no idea of what, for example, a high yo-yo is. I am thinking of getting a soundcard for my machine, mostly for game. My question is does PAS-16 works with Falcon 3.0 under SB mode (and other games in general) ? Or may be just get a SBP or SBP 16 ? Thanks. Wilfred Wong The Cutting Edge BBS Houston, Texas, USA. InterNet: wilfred.wong@cutting.hou.tx.us --- . SLMR 2.1 . All hope abandon, ye who enter messages here. ------------------------------- From: jkobach@copper.Denver.Colorado.EDU (John Joseph Kobach (W)) Subject: Stalemate in Kuwait? On day 5 in Kuwait, I received a "Stalemate" briefing. The message said that due to the high casualties on both sides, a stalemate was negotiated. However, the message also said that due to the large amount of weapons still in the area, things could heat up again in the futu! Is the war over? This is my first campaign and have the OFT version. My squadron only suffered 6 casualties and was gaining territory fairly well (over 50% occupied). I thought the objective was to drive Iraq out of Kuwait, no more, no less. If this is any indication of how other campaigns often turn out, please tell me before I waste more time with this game! I was impressed with this game until this sudden halt in the action happened! Has anyone had this happen? John Kobach ------------------------------- From: ISSJXM@VM.BYU.EDU Subject: F3 missions by modem Tally ho! I'm just getting started with this network stuff... I hope I'm sending this right. this right. I've been trying to play F3 via modem but have been unsuccessful so far. No matter what I do, I can't get F3 to access my phone line. Some- times you can hear it 'click' as if it were trying to do something, but I just can't get a dial tone. (Not even when I enter the modem commands manually.) I have a 386dx 33mhz, and my modem is a Supramodem 2400. Any suggestions?? I'd really appreciate any input... [[ What version of Falcon3 do you have? (Look on the title screen for the version #. Versions prior to 3.0D have known problems with the head-to-head parts of the game. The patch is available on onion.rain.com in /pub/falcon3/programs. --Jeff ]] Thanks, -JohnM issjxm@byuvm.byu.edu ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 1 : Issue 36 ]]
