My system is 486/66 4meg ram Expanded mem dos 6.2 Falcon seems to fly without to many problems..so I'm thinking its *another* spectrum screw-up that passes the problems on to buyers..then sends out patches. I've got the (E)...how far off am I? thx... ------------------------------- From: g055837@labsun1.med.uottawa.ca (michael dobbs (micro bio)) Subject: CH Throttle Wheel I have recently upgrades my motherboard/processor to a Magitronic Opti VESA 495slc/w. 128K cache 486dlc40. Ever since the upgrade, my CH flight stick throttle wheel no longer works. During the joystick calibration, I get the "detect throttle control" message and proceed to calibrate it as usual. Opon returning to game, the rpm indicator will not move from around 60%...no matter what the wheel postion. The after burner keys can still result in the "sound" but no change in speed/rpm occurs. I have tried both my sound card (ATI stereo fx...8bit) and game card joystick ports....niether work anymore. I have also disabled the s.card's joystick port (using the card's setup program) and then tried the game card port again....still no go. The game still works great if I only use keyboard. I used to have a 386dx25 with 6 meg ram...noew I only have 5 megs (new board doesn;t take 6meg config.). I am running f3.02.1 with the CHAD theater add-on (all was fine prior to MB upgrade). Any Suggestions? Anyone else experience something like this? I was using TRACK view with HORNET yesterday. I was also in debug mode, switching views & checking framerate. In TRACK view I was getting 36fps. In cockpit view I was getting 25 fps at the most. When I got close to the mountains of Bosnia I did see a low of 7fps! Hornet: I am using a CH Pro flightstick & the game port from my Sound- Blaster v1.5. Control seems fine. Roll is much quicker than falcon & Mig29 (obviously). The up-down control seems sluggish (probably realistic though). I certainly get the feeling of weight, to the aircraft. (This is the flight model I expected from falcon.) Greg Cisko ------------------------------- From: Michael_E_LEBRUN@umail.umd.edu (ml87) Subject: Hornet and KCC Utilities Hornet has not yet arrived in the stores on the East Coast, but I am eagerly awaiting its appearance. The reviews posted here have been favorable. Quick questions. First, how do the various KCC utilities react to the new versions? I have the initital Mig Commander Utilities and have found them invaluable for mission planning. While they definitely have a few problems, these are offset by the amount of time and the number of headaches that they save. Second, does anyone know if KCC plans to release updates anytime soon if there are problems with Falcon3.3 etc. Much Thanks, Michael Lebrun "Dragon" ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 5 : Issue 39 ]]
