I always thought that the "MiG" 31 (?) in the movie was Northrop's F-5, but then in the movies the planes seem to be two engined! Ok, my memory served me that F-5 is a single engined... (pictures + falcon graphics...) Well, now I suddenly notice that in the manual of OFT they say it is two engine plane. Is it? It is so sleek that ... And I think I remembered pictures of a single engine plane? Is there some plane similar to it, or am I just dreaming? --- I myself think that this form of Falconism is extremely suitable. Of course if it becomes a burden to someone or someone's machine (Hi Jeff :-) then we should of course move this to someplace else. If can keep this, that is very good. If we move to a forum, I'll like it too, even if not too much. For already named reasons: noise, disturbances, harder to follow. What about a moderated group? Is that harder to keep up than a mailing list? -- And then: WHY can't we have Hornet to Europe? The story about correctness is poop. Even when the things are as they are. Is it not economically suitable, or is the Microprose distributor goofing up, or what is it? I know I'll have to order it from overseas, if I have to, but I won't like it. I hope this won't duplicate on other SH products. Which reminds me that even if there IS much to improve in falcon, I think it is the top. On current capability of machines it could hardly be better. The flight models _feel_ to be heavy, together with AI and many planes and radar etc. So even if I could wish for more, I am happy with what is it. Let's just say any improvement would be just more bonus! (I haven't seen F14 yet, another product that has not yet reached this part of the globe...) This was months ago and still I am growing accustomed to the increase in difficulty. So for a little diversion I turned off "blackouts" for some arcade-like Instant Action. 40 minutes and about 30 planes & 6 helicopters later I decided to just let the next plane shoot me and end it. About that time he came in range just right...I couldn't stand it and blasted away Well that was it the game "froze" and a squeel came from the speakers. So what I want to know is did I simply fill it's buffer re. keeping track of planes and missles? Is this something that always happens? I suppose that given the correct coordinates as beamed to the plane by an FAC, an F16 pilot can drop his ordnance on a target within 50 ft. without even seeing it. No! Do'n't do it! The digest list is the best format for me at least. I appreciate that Jeff's system is running out of steam, so what we need is a solution to that problem. Perhaps other system operators could share the load? Is it possible for Onion to mail to a smaller list (secondary mailers) who each carried part of the complete list? It would be a distributed mailing list with a slightly slower response time but it would at least help to maintain an excellent list in its current form. Comments please. I'm not in a position to offer to take on part of the list just yet. I'm doing the ground work at the moment to get myself an Internet connection at home. When I've finished, I would certainly be a candidate on-mailer.
