Except you, your partner and the damn AWACS all compete for that 1 line
of text display. It's very easy to loose a message before you can see it.

Didn't say it worked worth a damn, just pointing out its existence. :)

I think that most of the vocal sequences from Falcon3 and Hornet intros are
effectively from the F-14 kill on 2 Lybian migs. In the F14 Fleet Defender
Gold CDROM, you could hear the whole sequence from the start of the
intercept to the end of the fight.

Subject: Problems running AOTK

Has anyone had problems playing AOTK? It looks like a display problem.
I get 2 distorted images in the top-left and top-right of the screen.
By pressing enter a couple of times, I managed to start one of the
clips and got all the sound OK, and could see that both the images were
moving, but it was totally unwatchable. I've got a Trident 8900 card,
and had a software VESA driver loaded (tried it without the VESA
driver - no effect).

It was suggested to me that the problem was in SmartDrv's CD caching and
that I should disable it. However, I dont actually have SmartDrv loaded,
so that wasn't the problem.

I've recently seen the same screen corruption on another game (but
cant remember its name) which wasn't on CD.

Anyone have any clues?

Thanks, Ian Orford.

Subject: Falcon Gold

Falcon 3.0, Mig-29 and OFT are in my possesion. Recently Falcon Gold was
released on CD-Rom. The only added value for me would be Hornet and the
training-module.

Could anybody tell me if it the Hornet and training module are worth the
extra cost.

Best regards,

Subject: MODEM PLAY FUNCTIONS

Hi all! I've been playing alot of F3 over the modem. H2H has been no
problem. Campaign has been difficult to get into the air and if it does
it's difficult to get coordinated together in the air. Does anybody have
any suggestions as to how I can overcome either or both of these problems?

Another question is about connecting Mig to Mig. Connecting F3 and Mig
in H2H has not been a problem, but trying to connect Mig to Mig for H2H
it locks up. Both me and my partner are using the stand alone version of
Mig. It seems the modem routines in F3 are faster or better than the
ones in Mig. I say this because connecting to F3, F3 is the control
machine, and there is no problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
