"Michael G. Hnatt" Subject: Re: New things for F4 Well it appears that SH has definately come up in the graphics department! When I get my web page finished maybe I will include the couple of pics that PC Gamer included in a recent issue. This game is looking very hot indeed! Win95 or not I think this is going to be one hell of a sim!! I think SH should definately add more detail to the padlock view, so that you can get more of a clue of which part of the plane that you are looking out from. I mean add cockpit details, and make it more like a virtual cockpit (ala F-15 SE ]I[) Campains do get repetetive, but the problems with making more of them is that how many realsitic theatres can you really make. Don't say lots either. SH would look quite silly making tons of campains. I mean how many country's fly the F-16? Not many. So who is the US going to war with? Campains would just start getting very silly, and very unrealistic IMHO. Could you imagine US vs. Canado. Now how in the hell is SH going to come up with a campain rational for that one? I think that there are really a limited amount of campains you could realistically set up. If they added more to the campain (ala Tornado) then it would definately be more interesting. ------------------------------- From: David Subject: Falcon Campaigns Hi all! A couple of quick questions about modem campaigns in Falcon and Hornet. Is there a way to edit missions before you connect so that you cut down on the preparation and just call your wingman, connect and fly? The other question refers to a modification to the SAVECAMP.BAT for Hornet. I changed all the file extensions to end in F, sqf instead of squ for Hornet squadrons, waf instead of war etc. Has anybody run campaign in Hornet? I saved the updated SAVECAMP.BAT as SAVECAMH.BAT and it gives the same output as the Falcon version. One other modification the original update to SAVECAMP.BAT is including the ATTRIB -H command from the SAVECAMP.BAT that was initially came with Falcon3. This exposes the hidden files, as I was getting Fatal Error - Could Not Create Squad6.MTV. The ATTRIB -H eliminates this problem. Any advice, comments, or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. David D. D MAN ------------------------------- From: "Michael G. Hnatt" Subject: What is strategic falcon? I heard several times "Strategic Falcon" mentioned. Is it a SH program? Is it an add-on? Maybe I already have it (if it's OFT or Hornet). Also, did anyone think that my suggestion for Falcon4 held any hope? I was hoping that they'd have an option in ACMI playback to "set" a camera in the stationary mode, but _also_ have the camera keep it's eye on you. Kind of a "spectator" view. Can anyone from SH comment on this? Thanks Kingfish ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 7 : Issue 67 ]]
