Since so many people are asking about the "debug mode" in Falcon, I
dug up this here bone I buried a while back.

1. Getting into debug mode:  during a mission, press 'p',
   then tab twice.  You'll find yourself outside and behind
   your plane.
2. 'd' for some stats (coordinates, altitude, step size of
   your debug viewpoint).  Toggle.
3. 't' for teleport by some funky coordinate system I didn't
   bother figuring out.
4. '+' to increase step size, '-' to decrease.  You start out
   at step=20, and as your step gets higher, so does your
   rate of increase.  9999 max.
5. up arrow for forward, back arrow for backward, left arrow
   for leftways sidestep, right arrow for rightways sidestep,
   pageup for increasing altitude, pagedown for decreasing
   altitude.  Also the IJLM keys acting as the arrow keys.
6. '`' (that's the one that is probably with the '~') starts
   up the action while still in debug mode.  You should be
   in autopilot for this :)  Good way to scope out the field,
   and another jock was probably in this mode to view a land-
   battle between Super-tank and the enemies of freedom.
   (Sorry I don't have your name, dude!)
7. F3 and F4 + cntl/shift keys do the same things as in
   regular mode.
8. 'esc' still works, so you can change magnification, detail
   level, etc.
9. 'n' does something with the hard disk, saving files named
   "falcon3.###".  I guess they're snapshots of the screen.
10. 'p' to get out of debug mode and back into the cockpit.

Also, shift-'t' (or just capital 'T') changes the time, so you
can dispense with the 'p','t' routine...

I'd like to thank the person who stated first that 'p',tab,tab
gets you into debug mode, but I don't remember your name...

Others keys probably do stuff, too.  I didn't fool around with
shift/cntl/alt combinations, and haven't touched F5-F12...

Oops, I just realized that you might only need to hit tab once
to get into debug mode, I think -- it's just that two tabs get
your viewpoint out of the cockpit.
