Subject: Falcon vs. Tornado

Please, please, PLEASE, would readers of this list be aware of the
following basic fact about Tornado: it is **NOT** a Falcon 3 add-on, was
never intended to be, was never advertised as such, was never expected
to be by those who follow sim publishing. Spectrum Holobyte merely
DISTRIBUTE it, actually they do generate new binaries and new packaging
but they have nothing to do with its DESIGN which was undertaken in
England independently of the entire Electronic Battlefield concept. So
please don't waste your time wondering if you can use it to go H2H with
the Falcon, or complaining that Falcon has button X but Tornado uses
button Q or lacks the button altogether, etc, etc. Totally different
game. Get it? Somebody put this in the FAQ list.

 [ What FAQ, sigh... 1/4 :-) --Jeff ]

MiG-29, on the other hand, is totally an F3 add-on and ought to be held to
all EBS standards by players and reviewers when it ships.

U.S. user may be interested to know that there is a email address for
contacting the developers (Digital Integration here in the UK) direct.
SH are ``only'' the (North America) distributors, though the manual says
nice things about how supportive they were of the project. (Maybe a
cash injection? :-) )

Here's the response I got to emailing Dig. Int. here in the UK.
Here's hoping for a swift patch...

He's right about the sounds, but set for soundblaster it sounds
noticeably nicer (alas).

Hello Scott

I can't remember where, but my manual says:
1st press of [shift +]: full mil
2nd press of [shift +]: full reheat.
[shift -] is analogous. If You are in reheat watch the fuel consumption
indicator when You go through the reheat stages.
