        I also would like to find some interested pilots to possibly form a
squadron, but to definately get together and 'mix it up' a little bit.  I'm
from Minneapolis (612) area code.  Send me some mail if you're close and you
want to do a little flying.  :)

        Now, the real answer to your question David, there's a group of fellows
out there that call themselves 'Air Aces'.  Call 1-800-air-aces for info.  They
charge something like $25 a year, but I really can't say they'll do you
anything for your money..  The chuckle is, they're a local group (Mpls), yet
I've never encountered any of them, outside of the propaganda they mailed when
I called the number and a slip I found in the MiG-29 box.  If anyone has* had
experience with this group, and found them to be reliable, speedy, and got you
set up killing your new virtual friends, let me know, I'll shuck out a
quarter..  Otherwise..

Subject: Mig trim


What does the key "5" exactly do?
I gathered that it is supposed to apply just that much trim that 
I could release the stick and the plane would continue straight to 
the direction it was heading.
Oh, no. it doesn't. It strangely yanks the plane up even over the zenith
point.
Even when I am flying level, NOT touching the stick, if I hit 5 the 
plane BOUNCES up. not my fault!!!
Then the buffetting. How can you PULL those magnificient G:s the 
NBFW plane is supposd to give me if everything I get from the stick
is major buffeting up and down. The nose doesn't hold the point where I
want it to be, and the speed COULD not have bled that much in say half a 
second! I am not using that big movements on the stick!

How about the calibration patch ? Any news of it?

I have had only very little time with the MIG, and I like it, but some
ways it handles very irrational.

Subject: F-16 Fuel Guage

The way I understood it is that there are two guage indicators
on the plane.  One indicates the fuel level of any external
fuel tanks on board and the other is the internal fuel 
capacity.  Any external fuel is used first and then falcon
automatically switches over to the internal supply.  I'm
not quite sure whether it automatically dumps these external
pods when they are empty though.  So if you were to takeoff
without any external tanks, one gauge should already be at
zero while the internal indicator would be somewhere just before
eighty just like your example.

   Ahh.. but REAL flight jocks won't USE the Track view!  Not very
realistic when you're flying against a Mig-29 and then, somehow,
teleport your point of view, from within the cockpit, to the outside.

   Btw guys, why am I getting stuff from "devnull@onion.rain.com"?

Because a) you didn't read my message in a previous digest, and
b) your mailer is broken.

"A" is because a lot of people's mail keeps bouncing to the list, so I
have forced all replies to be discarded.  As the top of each digest
says, send submissions to "falcon3@onion.rain.com".

"B" is probably because your mailer is broken.  You might want to talk
to your sysadmin.
