The Ultimate calibration in falcon 3.0 and mig-29: Do almost all the tricks mentioned earlier, play around with the stick when you place it to the corner, then HOLD it there for couple of seconds, but before you push the button RELEASE the stick to center position. And if the stick is oversensitive to some directions (on my mahine usually roll) give the stick that direction maximum deflection and ease a bit on the other axis. It means that you shouldn't push to the exact corner of the stick, that tells the program that your stick range is something else what it actually is and adjusts the whole feel of the control. Now I can adjust quite a good feel to both MIG and falcon on one calibration. (Note that at least on my system they seem to have different calibrations! So I have to calibrate the damn stick every time I change the game) I am using a cheapo Spectravideo game card and CH Flightstick (plus other stick). Machine is 40Mhz 386, with Franke.387. Hope this helps, but I am still looking forward to the stickpatch! Keep an eye on your six o'clock LOW, I might be there...! (Also, not very realistic that the movement your SIMULATED F16 makes doesn't get translated to your middle-ear. Not very realistic that a SIMULATED MIG 19, can pull 9+ G's all day. Not very realistic that when you fly your SIMULATED F16 into the ground, you get to live!) Luckly, I'm not making any claims as a REAL flight jock. But realistic or not, for me TRACK view makes up for the lack of middle-ear sensation. So now I suppose, that every time I beat someone in H2H, or IHHD, it won't count since I was using TRACK view? (Just in front of them are the three TU-22's). Has anyone noticed that if you shoot at the left SU-25 with your guns it's the right one that the debris falls off from?? After four or five seconds into the instant action session there's a pause - has anyone noticed this as well? It can be very disconcerting when you're trying to line up that second SU-25. Comments please? John Threadgill New Zealand Forest Research Institute threadgj@fri.cri.nz ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 4 : Issue 78 ]]
