Well, it really was an F16. An F16B that is . The B model Viper is a two-seat training model. Both planes were practicing landings when they collided. Somehow they both were cleared on the same runway at the same time. Not a good think in anyone's book. It and a C-130 collided ABOVE a C-141. Both Viper pilots ejected safely. The C-130 landed safely. Sixteen people were killed; eighty-two injured. A picture shows the C-141 from the rear, right side. The right wing is mostly burned, with flames still shooting 20-30' from the front fuselage.. On a lighter thought.. If you're curious what Gabe looks like, he's second from the left, front row in the picture in the back of the Hornet manual. (Sorry Gabe! :) If you're wondering how I noticed this, I was looking for an INDEX. The trend of ignoring indices in the Hornet and Fulcrum manual is a HUGE foxtrot uniform. I believe it only involved 1 aircraft, the C130. At least when I saw footage of the wreckage, it only showed one plane. And, I haven't heard anything about a second aircraft. The C130 (it's called a Tudor here or something like that) is a little two seater that is usually used as a trainer. The two pilots were on a training mission when the accident occured. Both ejected, and were injured requiring hospitalization. The Canadian Air force doesn't have any F-16s. No cause for the accident has been released yet. The C130 is flown by a Canadian Forces special squadron called the Snow Birds. They do acrobatics and things at airshows, similar to the US Navy's Blue Angels (are they still around?
