I upgraded from F3.0d to F3.03 last weekend, flew around in Complex mode for the weekend then upgraded to F3.04 last Monday. I switched to Complex mode after Cpt. Butts stated his opinion that the Complex mode modeled the flying qualities of the Viper better than the Hi-Fi mode. Anyways, in F3.03, the complex mode seemed to 'grab' in the pitch plane as i applied more back stick to track a target. It would all of a sudden pitch up, and I'd miss my gun shot. In F3.04, it seems much more solid, and the inputs much smoother. Also, it seemed to fly somewhat different - bled off speed different or something. I can't put my finger on it, but F3.04 Complex mode impressed me as being better than the past Complex modes - closer to the original Hi-Fi model. Does anyone else share my opinion? Has been working for more than a year for me without a problem that caching can cause by being allowed to write back to an Sh directory (ie; Falcon, Hornet..etc. LH C:\WINDOWS\SMARTDRV.EXE /E:256 /B:1024 D E G /Q 2048 After the /B:1024 place the appropriate drive(s) letter which set them up as read only cahcing from smartdrive. I am amazed that even up to v3.04 the falcon bombsight can't seem to hit without human intervention. Also the F/A-18 should have Type 1 radar, giving it multi-tracking abilities and look-down (according to the F3 manual). How is this handled in Hornet?
