Subject: Tornado CDROM updating

Hi,

Does somebody know if SH offers the possibility of upgrading existing
copies of Tornado to the new CDROM edition?

In fact, I asked this same question to SH by e-mail one month ago, but
as of today I haven't got any answer to my question.

If SH does not upgrade Tornado, would it be possible to get the upgrade
directly from DI even if you have the american version?

Hope someone has a positive answer to this, otherwise I will have to start
waiting a few months before buying any games in order to get the CDROM
version instead of the diskette version :-(

Hail CYAC pilots ! 8-)

-as previously mentioned the CYAC (Chuck Yeager...) password at
startup just drives me crazy too...my book is shot from thumbing it!
If some one can help us tired pilots with pooreyesight on this one
I sure would be gratefull. Any ideas would help. Gosh seems like
too many answers to spreadsheet...not like WCI which seems to have about
a dozen commonly asked questions. At least in LHX (by Brent Iverson too)
you could memorize half of them. Brent are you reading this!? Help us out.

-And again, I saw on the FS mailer that there is a "new" CYAC coming
out , however I have absolutely nothing else anywhere to confirm this.
I did see the new Mac ver, which is not a port. ANd it may be the only good
flight sim for the Mac. Beats FS4, Falcon, Aces and RB hands down. ANd
I like them all on the PC.

-Regarding your JS#2 problem in CYAC. DId you call EA for help? WHat about
a kludge: put a JS switch on your "Y" cable and just shut off the ofending
JS when in CYAC.

Something like a goofy JS problem wouldn't get me to delete CYAC and even
tho' GEnie AW is cool on-line the home ver stinks in comparison to CYAC.

FUN: try the Korean mission...ground attack....Chuck says:"I didn't
know those Migs were there !?" of course by now youv'e flamed 'em in your
Mustang

check hat !

Has anybody on the list played Aviator on the SunOS 4.1.x ? It's made
by Artificial Horizon Inc, $49.95/hostid. It allows multiplane dogfight
on the ethernet. From the screen shot I got, its texture mapped terrain
is very nice. Anybody has AHI's info email addr?

Nah, it's not that bad. 18 planes by 7 columns; took me about 20 minutes
to punch it in - saved about 20 hours thumbing the manual. I'd post it, but
copyrights and all.....

Subject: TORNADO CD UPGRADE etc.

In response to a couple of people, who asked me for the contact at Di who provided me with the CD-ROM upgrade, here are some details.

Cost to registered users : 14.95 UK pounds
Contact:
	Miss R.L. Tillotson
	Digital Integration Ltd
	Watchmore Trade Centre

In sumary, Tornado is available in the UK on CD-ROM as a stand alone product, and a 'special-edition' with DS included.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Rumors from CES

Hi,

As far as I remember some tank-fanatics are on this list. I found in
a german game-magazin a review of the CES in Las Vegas, in which was
reported that MicroProse will release a game called 'Across the Rhine'.
It will be about tank-battles between the Americans and the Germans
at the end of WWII. It probably won't be released in Germany.
