;                               The DHT log
;
; To find out what all this stuff is about, "finger fms@quince.cam-orl.co.uk"
; for a few pointers (that is, before mailing me). If you have web access,
; go to "http://www.cam-orl.co.uk/~fms/dht.html".
;
; The date of this log is the date of its last section.
; Entries in later sections override matching entries in earlier
; sections.
;
; This log applies to DHT4 and 5. In the r.g.c.d.a posting, only the
; header and the last section are retained, to conserve bandwidth. The
; full log is available on the repository
; (ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames/lmps/dht-exams/ or one of its
; mirrors) and on my web page.
;
; The log for DHT1, 2 and 3 is kept in a separate file, now sealed,
; available from my WWW page.

; These masks show the field widths of the various lines. The first
; column has been eaten by the semicolon, but I haven't moved the rest
; so that it stays at the same column numbers. Continuation lines are
; marked by " :" and not by a backslash at the end of the previous
; line as erroneously stated in the DHT4 rules.

;ATE: yyyy mm dd
; (DATE) date of this section (until the next line of dashes).

;EPO: ftp-site-------------------------------------------------------------
; (REPO) current official repository.

;ERS: game-------- vers----
; (VERS) latest version of the game (you must use this one).

;EVS: titl set---- levels--------------------------------------------------
; (LEVS) (re)definition of level sets.

;ASE: titl set---- levels--------------------------------------------------
; (BASE) (re)definition of base sets for advanced titles.

;RAP: titl ini username-----------------
;   :          reason-for-crap---------------------------------------------
; (CRAP) the DONE entry referred to here is invalid, and so is the
; corresponding title. The candidate is a bad guy.

;ONE: titl ini username----------------- levels-done--------- add-to-base
;   :          highlight-of-free-interpretation----------------------------
; (DONE) This guy's finished DHT4 exam is now available on REPO.

;VOK: titl ini username-----------------
;   :          reason-for-revocation---------------------------------------
; (RVOK) a previously issued challenge has been revoked; generally because
; I made a mistake while issuing it; the candidate still is a nice
; guy and probably gets another challenge in replacement.

;HAL: titl ini username----------------- oblevels dance------
;   :          email-------------------------------------------------------
; (CHAL) a new challenge has been issued (by far the most common entry).

; used to generate the hall of fame listing)

; Remember the Daniel "Demonlord" Lindgren story? (He requested the
; same exams with different initials, DL and DDL, so I had to ban him
; from submitting these exams.) Well, I thought that this was too hard
; a penalty for someone who was in fact rather keen on the DHT idea
; and clearly hadn't done that for cheating purposes. So instead I
; asked him to resubmit but with the union of the assigned levels from
; both requests. The same thing later happened to Oliver Mertlich (OME
; and MER), and I took the same course. So Oliver may now use his OME
; challenges, but he'll have to submit all the levels from his MER
; challenges as well for these two exams. Details on the DHT web page.
;
RVOK: D2M  MER Oliver Mertlich            04 30 19  RFL-FRL-LRF

RVOK: D2GM MER Oliver Mertlich            03 10 16  LFF-FLL-RLL

; The list of decorated players follows: look for plenty of good stuff
; in here. I am immodestly convinced that the DHT did a lot to keep
; DOOM alive even after years from its release, as it gave dedicated
; players a *goal*. You can for example see people who've managed to
; expand the almost-full bases of the Advanced titles (they get SO
; much harder as time goes by!). But, most impressive of all, you can
; see the hardest of all the DHT titles being finally conquered: three
; cheers for Andreas "Ante" Kren, now crowned DOOM 2 Schwarzenegger! I
; suggest that you pay a visit to the DHT hall of fame at
; http://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames/lmps/dht-exams/hall-of-fame.html
; to see all these completed exams in an organised way.

; NB: I am grateful to Yonatan Donner and to Mike Pratt for some very
; well researched suggestions for new level sets for D2SG. There are

; documentation that comes with Mike's!) on the DHT web page.
