Version 3:

**ONLY WORKS IN DOOM LEGACY** I'M SERIOUS! DO NOT TRY RUNNING THIS IN ANY OTHER PORT!

-Doom Legacy version:

As such, I had to make some minor changes so the game would play properly, and because
Legacy doesn't have some of the dehacked tricks that ZDoom has:

-Shotgun uses 2 ammo per shot
-No unique sounds for Machinegun, Chaingun and Sniper Rifle :(
-No long range attack for Lightning gun (chainsaw)
-this is because picking it up would give no ammo, so useless anyway
-Negative ammo bug is back in full force (sniper rifle and bfg especially)

Primary Purpose : DEATHMATCH
Advanced Engine Required: LATEST DOOM LEGACY VERSION ***ONLY*** (1.40 as of now)

Title : DM Patch #3 (Inspired By SiN)
Filename : cw-sin2.zip
Date Finished : October 2002
Developer : Cory Whittle
Email Address : cwhittle@isn.net

Other Releases : Yes
Misc. Developer Info : None

Description : A deathmatch gameplay enhancement, based on SiN.
Not nearly as complex as my Quake3 based patch...

			  All weapons are changed:
			  1: Fists
			     Twice as strong as before.
			  1: Plasma Accellerator
In close combat mode. Very strong!
			  2: Machine Gun
			     Finally, a useful default weapon.
			  3: Shotgun
Fires the SSG spread. Slow action, but deadly.
			  3: Rifle
			     Super strong pinpoint accuracy.
			  4: Chaingun
			     Spray and pray.
			  5: Rocket Launcher
			     Nothing too different here.
			  6: Plasma Accellerator
Again, not too different. Faster plasma.
			  7: Quantum Destabilizer
Fires a spray of flames. Be careful, as it hurts
to touch the spray! Has a limited range, so no
sniping! Will blind you if you have Dynamic Light on...

Instructions : Just fire this wad into your Legacy Launcher in the
"Single Map" area under "Additional Files", and Launch!
Alternatively, just add "-file cw-sin2.wad" to your
			  Legacy command line (without quotes).

Additional Credits To	: -Don Tello for his DT-SIN2.WAD, which I used as a base
			  -Ritual for SiN

Advanced Description:

I used the same technique for the machine gun and sniper rifle as I did in the dehacked
version of Immoral Conduct. Hence, running out of ammo and auto-selecting either
of these guns will cause them to lose their accuracy sometimes.

Sometimes, the Machinegun, BFG, and Rifle will cause your ammo to go into negative (-1)
values. Once you pick up some ammo or a weapon containing that ammo type, you
will be fine. Often you'll have to manually switch to another weapon
if this happens. Some common sense will do as well, IE if you have 1 cell left, don't
fire the BFG or you'll end up with -39 cells.

Firing the Quantum Destabilizer results in A LOT of dynamic light. Be warned.

Sometimes, picking up a shotgun will give you full ammo. I have no idea why.
This doesn't seem to apply to other guns, but I could be wrong. Doesn't apply to dropped
weapons, however (i.e. a dropped shotgun will only give 4 shells as usual)

I set up the shotgun/ammo to give double the amount of ammo per pickup, but legacy seems
to ignore it. This may also be related to the above bug, as the Super shotgun has it's
ammo changed to use bullets?? I'm a total Legacy newb, so bear with me...
