comments: I've only gone and done it again...this run beats Anders' Episode
1 COMPET-N record.......by ONE second :). WHY do I always beat runs by one
second?! I'm not sending this (officially) to compet-n for a while, I want to
try and get a better improvement...but if I do, it probably won't have a
quick E1M8...this one worked out very well and very safely. The "Best" column
is my best times during an episode run. Oh, as a footnote, my best run over
the first four levels went 0:12, 0:26, 0:49, 0:18...I was kinda pissed off
when I died on E1M5 in that run...:)

E1M1 - yawn yawn. Got loads of 0:12s here. I'm fairly sure 0:11 should be
       possible.
E1M2 - my running kinda went to pot here :)
E1M3 - I suck at this level. I often get stuck between the trooper and the
spectre right at the start, I fall in the acid a lot, I do all sorts
of weird crap. So 0:50 is pretty good for me.
E1M4 - Nice to make the jump first time. The weird thing with the yellow door
sometimes opening and sometimes not opening *seems* to be linked to
a lift somewhere on the level...when the lift is in one position, the
door will open, when it's in the other, it won't...you can tell this
if you play this level a lot and listen to the SFX. Can someone shed
       some light?
E1M5 - hmmmmmmm. When you survive on this route (which, really, isn't often)
you normally get a quicker time. I use the full-blown speedrun route..
don't kill anyone in the outside area, don't kill the two pinkies on
the lift, don't get the 100% sphere, just KEEP RUNNING :). It's very,
very, easy to die trying to get out of this area. However, sometimes
it works out amazingly and you get a straight run through and catch
the side lift just before it goes up for the first time (I caught it
second time here)...and that's *nice* :). The spectre in the thin
passage at the end didn't help by going right to the bottom, I had to
       be careful after that.
E1M6 - pretty good run, although it could have been far faster if I hadn't
screwed up in the last room :). I was so surprised to get a clean run
to the switch I completely smegged up shooting the barrel and got
       caught...lost 7-8 secs here.
E1M7 - my quickest time ever here, even though it seemed a pretty cautious
run. Weird. It was helped a lot by the ammo I somehow saved for the
last area, don't know how I got all those bullets...still had to be
       careful...
E1M8 - Wow! I only had 7 rockets, but somehow this worked out really nicely..
0:57 even though I missed the exit jump. Having lots of bullets helped.

I think this record should be safe for a while :).
