Comments: Most of these are recorded with the regular doom2.exe, though the author clearly had boom or another port in mind. I just prefer to use the original game. However, in map 10 and 11 you'll get visiplane overflows if you use doom2.exe, so I used boom for those demos. There's an annoying HOM in map 08 (my least favorite of these maps) which neither regular doom nor boom can fix, but it doesn't stop gameplay. These maps are excellent - not overly complex, difficult enough to keep you interested time and again, and visually exciting. The sound effects are great ("FREEZE!" "STOP1" when the enemy sees you; and the shotgun and chaingun sound great), and the music is generally MUCH better than the original. The exception is map 08, which can be a bit tedious because there's not much ammo. I punch a few enemies here, and let them kill each other as much as possible- which can be a bit dull. Overall, though, two thumbs WAY up on this one.
