This is a Doom2.exe-format demo. Recorded with Prboom 2.2.4. Should play back with any limit-removing port that can play Doom2.exe demos.

Note: if you watch it with Prboom 2.2.5 or 2.3.1 it will play back correctly, but you'll see some very odd-looking stuff.

Description: A new version of this map has just been released, so I decided to see if the route from my aotwP218 demo is possible on this version too. It is, but pacifist would perhaps be a bit more awkward (certainly if you wanted a reality demo too) due to one point where you need to get past an imp and a demon in quick succession. Therefore, you'll need to put up with the buzzing of the chainsaw in this demo.

Route and idea credits still go to Assmaster (asatw216.lmp). My additions are still a little idea at the start (waking one of the guards by bumping into him), a switch trick, and a different jump near the end (the teleporter locations are slightly different in this version of the map, but it makes no real difference). Essentially, this is a carbon copy of my earlier demo, except that it will play back with the version of the wad that is currently in the archive, and that I chainsaw a few monsters rather than sneaking round them.

Regarding the error message that comes up at the start: I've no idea what that thing was intended to be - there is the same error in every other port that I have tried (including Zdoom and Skulltag). The unknown "thing" in question is on the watch-tower near the exit.

There are some untidy moments in this demo: a slow start, the odd wall-bump, and I fumble around in the dark a bit too much. I guess a low 1:4x would be nice.
