                    --------- GENERAL INFORMATION ---------

This Master collection is ment to be a kick butt jurny through the 11 splended
levels of Dystopia3- Rebirth of anarchy. This episode replacement for Doom2 is
one of the most amazing exampels when it comes to special tricks- btw; check
out that awesome bridge in map11!

Originally we thought of doing these maps on GM- but then it turned out that
GM where almost impossible in some levels. We ended up leaving almost all maps
on regular UV. The ones we did complete on GM is not included (except from the
map11-demo) All the levels MIGHT be possible on GM though, if you are damn
good and have lots of time to spear. Our task is to nail as many megawads as
possible, so we cant get stuck in one wad forever.

All levels in Dystopia3 are of high quality, the architecture is solid in
every way, all textures are aligend- good work Anthony and Iikka!
The only level which could have been more exciting is map09- it's not a
bad map though, just a bit boring...

Note that this collection also offers one "bonus" lmp on GM-style, but the
UV-lmp is infact the most fun to watch.

Although its not all that important- the storyline should have been left out.
The guys who made Dystopia3 are extremely good wadauthors, but they are
deffintly not writers :-)

The display below describes how long time each map took, and its
also a level-description. We gave each levels points on difficulty (1-10)
and style (1-10). More thorough notes about each level is listed in the
bottom together with the lmp authors name...

Her's some notes about each level, written by the player who recorded it...

[Map01- Anders]
Such an interesting wad-collection could begin even better than this. Its
not an bad level, and pretty fun to play. It has the perfect length for
a map01, and the resistance is ok- but....
The berserk makes it no challenge in straight uv, but with -fast monsters that
sphere becomes almost useless. A chaingun or shotgun would be preferable.
I prefer playing straight UV here... (like in most maps :)

[Map02- Anders]
Good looking, but in lack of good gameplay. This is a small, dark "island" like
map with lots of good designed buildings. But idiotic placement of enemies
ruins much of the fun. I went back and killed the two cacos in the start after
getting the SSG, think its quicker that way. Not my favourite dystopia3 map,
although deffinlty not a bad level.

[Map03- Anders]
If not a THAT great looking map, its pretty genious. You have to run like
hell if you don't want to end up like jam. The deadly race against time
is partly interupted by hell knights and road blocks, something which lead to
death for my mariner many times. After stopping the hidden crusher from
killing your "twin", the clean-up begins...something which is quite hard to
do (at least with -fast monsters!) There are no safe spots where you can
hide from those distant chaingunners and shotgunners....and the end sequence
is a pain in the ass cause of those guys shooting down on you from above
(though they don't hit me in this lmp). This map is fun an fast to play, I
like it a lot. But some luck is needed if youre going to take it down on first
try... Something unexpected happens in this lmp- an imp opens yellow door,
something which lets me enter it w/o the keycard, should have said thanx to
the little bugger but instead I blew him away...;)

[Map04- Anders]
Not my favourit Dyst. map, too dark and messy. It has one really cool secret
though. This map becoms extremely hard with -fast monsters...you'l get
ventilated in the matter of few secs. I think you could play really, really
slow through it on GM though. But this map is more preferable on straight UV.
You cant get 100% items in it, this because there are a sealed of dm-part
which contains a berserk sphere. Its not possible to get 100% kills either-
one caco wont teleport into the read-key arena (I tried many, many times...).
My lmp here sux...but it was a rare occasion which resulted in this 95%
kill ratio. Most often its 80% something. Is it possible to get 100% ??
I doubt it...

[Map05- Anders]
Beautiful map! Dark, gloomy....my taste in deed :) The whole level is based
around a cave devided by a river. A deserted tech-base is located down there
too, quite cool. I was pretty lucky in this lmp, managed to telefrag the
two Mancubus. Had to play it several times, pure fun all the time. Only
catch with it though, is that it has to be played in a dark room if selected
gamma-correction is 0.

[Map06- Anders]
One of the best maps I've ever played! Newer seen anything like it...Its built
like a mountain-island in the middle of a nukage ocean. Climbing through
slimfalls and cracks in the mountain, its just awesome!! Not to difficult,
nor to easy...perfect! My favourite map nr.1 :-) There are no official
secrets in this map, therefor the endingcredits says 0%.

[Map07- Anders]
A beautiful map! Specially the garden with that megasphere secret...truly
magnifficant. A pretty scary UV map if you don't know it- almost looks
like its been ripped from Hell Reveald (not THAT hard though :).
Then the catch; this map has an almost impossible situation done with -fast.
I died in this same spot xx times, and gave it up. On straight UV I took it
out and made this lmp at first try. The almost (maby completely?)
impossible spot is when you fall down into the little room with those
five cacos. Its nearly impossible to survive them with 200% healt and armor.
I made it twice, only to die in the hands of an very angry revenant. If
anyone can do this map- then they would have to be extremely lucky- something
which I don't consider myselfe to be :)
Note that the difficulty of this level touches 9-10 on GM-style.

[Map08- Henning]
IMO this is the best map in Dystopia3. The design is incredible! It was just
so fun to play it, I spent many houers (a whole night infact :) infront of it.
Those two cybies in the end requiers luck, they are most likely to kill you
every time. Only one thing I don't like about this level, and thats the
"30 sec dealy" door before entering the exit-area. Mapknowledge is essential
if you are going to record this one...spent some houers just learning it.
There are infact many different routes which leads to the exit....
I would advise every Doom'er to have a look at this map, its incredible!
There are just so many cool features to look for (like the helli-pad, the
sentral minelift, the secret shortcut in the mountain area etc....).

[Map09- Anders]
A pretty hard map with somewhat ammoshortage. I ended up facing the Spiderboss
with chainsaw in one round...you can guess the outcome of that situation :)
All in all- not that an great level...somehow it dosn't seem to fit the rest
of Dystopia3. The Spiderboss section is a bit too colorfull after my opinion,
and the first part too boring. Conclusion: Not a map to remember...

[Map10- Henning]
One of the most complex levels I've ever played. Very hard too, if speeding
(mainly cause of all the rapid-fire). I spent four houers just learning
this map, another four to record it. Not a bad built level, but way to
many switches! A sentral lift devides the map into many sections, very easy
to get lost...a truly anoying level to record- dont ever want to play it again.

[Map11- Anders]
Wish more maps could be like this one- its on my top ten list of all levels I
have ever played (together with the awesome map06 in Dystopia3). Its not
only because of that incredible neat bridge, but also the overall feeling
of this map, its just great! The skill level is lovely too- its enough
challenging w/o being too hard...a great map! The UV-lmp is much faster, but
in this case I'm satisfied with both lmps...
(Oh- what an feeling it gives one to blow up Microsoft :-)))
