Description: I had been trying this run on UV -fast (it's certainly possible - I've done it when using savegames - but some luck is needed here and there). I got a bit sick of dying in various interesting ways, so decided to do a UV speedrun. Not too tough - I reached the exit on my 4th (1:35), 7th (1:15) and 9th (1:11) attempts.
You have some time to kill between pressing the switch to raise the pillars to get to the red key, and actually making the dash for the red key. If you race/straferun at full speed for the chaingun and the blue key and then the red key, you get to the pillars before they have fully risen, and end up plunging into the drink. On -fast I decided the best place to pause was on the exit of the teleport that the demons are trying to come through, in the hope that the first demon will be unable to teleport, and therefore turn around and foul up the other charging demons. However, I think that on UV the demons are too slow for this to be effective, so it's better simply to waste the time somehow before releasing the demons.
This run could be speeded up a little. It is possible to have a bit more luck with monster placement, but slower running might be needed to get this - diminishing returns perhaps. The running could be a little smoother generally. Regarding the mastermind, I had originally thought it wasn't worth the time to go for the BFG (thus the 1:35 time), this this was clearly nonsense!
I haven't given up on beating this map on UV -fast. That run should look pretty similar, but just a lot tougher, with health doubtless hitting single figures here and there.
