Hi guys, I'm releasing the first 8 levels of my run, but this does
not mean I am done with this. I fully intend to do the remaining
24 levels. That means that I'm planning to take the secret levels,
not for convenience, but because it seems every full 32 level run
with TASMBF is done that way, so I'm going to keep up with the
trend. Now I'm going to comment on each of the levels.

level 1:

I took the blue armor here because I thought that level 2 would
be very tough without it. It turns out I probably would have
been able to survive level 2 that quickly without blue armor, but
then that would make level 3 hard too, and I don't want to redo
those levels. Level 1 was pretty easy.

level 2:

I thought this would be very tough, but I was surprised that I had
little trouble surviving. I was also surprised that such a fast time
was possible on nightmare. I know there's a trick where you jump to
the yellow key directly instead of to the stairs, but after several
attempts the pig blocked me every time and I gave up on the idea.
Fortunately I got the jump back on the first try. I like those
infights in the indoor area with the pool.

level 3:

This was completed a bit more hastily than the other 2 levels. I
could have saved a second and a half easily before the red door by
letting the shotgunner shoot the other spectre to distract it while
I get to the door. The blue key room could also probably be done
faster. I took the rocket launcher here since I figured level 4
would be very violent if I took the rocket launcher and all those
chainers came out and blasted away. I died on level 4 so many times
anyway.

level 4:

You might think this level was really easy judging by the length, but
this was not the case. Surviving this with the rocket launcher and
little health is hard, since the chainers can shoot you until the
rocket actually hits. I liked the way the shotgunner gets distracted
so I can run past. That's why there's a pause at the beginning.

level 5:

This one is much slower than Istvan's run in EVDQ. The reason for this
was that I couldn't just run through, but had to shoot lots of monsters
with a chaingun. Extra rockets from level 3 would have been helpful here.
I also did this one more hastily than the other levels.

level 6:

I really worked on this one and got a pretty good time. There were
several attempts at the red key platform and also the main caco fight
at the end.

level 7:

I took the invulnerability and the supercharge at the end because I
thought level 8 would be hell. This accounts for the slow time here.
Once again I didn't have too much trouble on level 8, but imagine if I
had lost so much armor in the red key chase without invulnerability, then
level 8 would be very hard and I might have to find a different route.
The end supercharge was probably unnecessary.

level 8:

This is the real asskicker of the whole game since it's one of three
levels currently undone in normal play on nightmare. It's about the same
difficulty as level 9 from scratch, but plasma and rockets will help a lot
there, but here I made little use of the extra weapons. I'm sure no one would
have been able to survive the endroom sequence without invisibility, so I took
that. Thanks to Vincent for the trick at the red key. I was also quite
surprised that I was able to get a time faster than Istvan's EVDQ here,
even with Vincent's trick.
