--Hell Revealed II Tool Assisted Speed Demo--
Demo constructed by OnyxStar using a custom version of Prboom 2.2.4

Originally, I wanted the whole demo to be one big file. Sadly, the way
I record the demos, it became a real problem as I got further in levels.
Basically, my Prboom lets me take over control in the middle of a demo. So,
the whole demo has to play up to the point I want to change. I built a way
to skip ahead to the level I want, but it still has to calculate what happens
on the way, even if it doesnt draw it. Even with my 3.0 Gigahertz computer,
a half hour of demo takes about 15 seconds to run. When you are constantly
changing a demo to get it right, it takes a lot of time.

I tried to build prboom so I could connect demos together, but that never
worked right. Finally, I had to change the code so I started with the correct
stats at the start of a new demo. There are 3 parts to the demo, one starts at
level 1, one starts at level 16, and the last starts at level 25. The first two
are about a half hour long, and the last is about a quarter of an hour. This
way you can view it without seeing it all in one sitting. The main problem though,
is that you must use my version of prboom to watch the second and third part, since
the player would not start at the right health and have the right weapons otherwise.
I have included a glboom and prboom so you can choose which to use.

Now, onto information about the actual demo....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was a fun demo to make, but I'm happy it's over. This is far from a perfect
demo, as you will see when you watch me fire my BFG an extra time all over the place.
All the mistakes are very small, and I find they don't take away from the fun in
watching this at all. A lot of the time is spent running through hordes of monsters,
but sadly there were some places that I just had to rocket snipe at enemies so I could
continue through the level.

I am very pleased with a discovery I made in level 24 though. It's nothing special,
but I am pleased it worked. In certain areas, I avoid firing my weapon since it would
wake up teleporting monsters. I also just barely grap the blue key so the doors
don't close behind me, and also so many monsters to teleport in. Some do, but not the
huge number that normally do. I also really looked forward to level 29, because
I had my route planned out for a long time. It worked great.

A final note: I didn't change any way that the player behaves, so _theoretically_
this would be possible for a human to do. You would have to have extraordinary
route knowledge, and lightning reflexes.

One hour and 16 minutes of pure speed and carnage await you, enjoy! =)
