Yet another reality demo. This one was a "request", sort of. I wanted some
tips for good maps to practice reality style on, and Opulent suggested I'd
try "Classic Episode". ALthough I have no doubt he did so with the best
intentions, he's probably never tried to play these maps without taking
damage. :-)

Most of the maps are by design close to impossible; there are tons of traps
with a high rate of hitscan monsters which makes every attempt a nightmare.
However, since I didn't want to disappoint Doug I thought I'd make a try of
the first map, since it didn't look impossible, at least. In hindsight, I
shouldn't have!

There are 84 monsters in this one. 84!? In the first map!!? Anywhoo, that's
not the real problem. The real problem is the design of the map -- there are
crossfire situations *everywhere*. So I had to use a very strange route,
strategically taking out first the hitscan monsters at every part, then the
much easier imps. Another "strange" route choice is the route to the blue door
in the end.. Believe me, that damn zombieman caused me much headache when going
the more direct route...

The chaingun/invisibility combo works wonders here, it made the attempts much
easier. I could get to the very end about once every 3 or 4 tries. But tell me,
what is the point of that goddamn ooze in the end!? It's like van der Veken
and the boys decided to make reality playing impossible! >:-( GAAAAAAH!!!

I've included failed attempts in a sample from the last session (look at the
timestamps of the demos... 5(!) attempts from 17:51 to 18:32) where I lost
some health just at the very ending. Mostly hilarious stuff, but of course
catastrophe. I included some "author commentary" too. Hehe. I thought I'd
lose my mind for sure, but finally came an attempt where everything worked
out. I thought this run was quite exciting, at least.

So enjoy, or something. And Doug, since you did me a favour by suggesting I
play these maps reality style, I can do you a favour in return an suggest
the SDA rating of this demo... ;-p

Speed: 2 (You could use a much faster but unsafe route. You'd have to sit
a couple of months to get a first exit, though...)

Overall Quality: 2 (First exit. What else would you expect!? I'm not doing
this cursed map anymore!)

Difficulty of run: 4 (*Almost* impossible by design. When you get to the ending,
you have one chance in a hundred you'll run past that ooze without getting hurt)
Just try it. Try it. Just for one hour or two. ;-D

Well, I'm glad I finally lived up to my word and got this recorded. It requires
very much luck, but then again, a good player is always lucky, right? ;-)
