Operation: Lightning - New Game Text
======================================================================

Because the game text (eg. automap names, end sequence text, in-game
messages etc) is stored in the doom2.exe file rather than the doom2.wad
file, it is a bit harder to edit. But, I found two ways.

The op-lite2.etf that comes with this episode contains the following:

*New automap names (the map name that appears when you use the automap)
*New victory text (text that appears when the episode is completed)
*New cheat messages (when you type cheats in)
*One or two others (see if you can find them)

To use this, run ol2etf-l.bat (it will create a backup copy of your
doom2.exe, calling it op-lite2.exe, and will then load the etf into it.
This exe is retained for every time you play, (you only have to load the etf once)
and your original doom2.exe is not modified.

This .etf only works with DooM II. (not source ports)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

For DooM Legacy and other source ports, the op-lite2.deh file is used.
This only contains the automap names and victory text
(due to a problem I encountered with new in-game messages in Legacy).

This dehacked patch only works with source ports.
(if you load it into doom2.exe it will not work when you play it -
otherwise I wouldn't have needed the etf file)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

*Don't worry, these files do not alter your original DooM II files in*
*any way, they are perfectly safe to use. I've tested them many times*

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't have to use them, but I do recommend using them, otherwise
the episode won't 'feel' complete. (you will get the normal automap
names and victory text, which don't fit in with the episode)

If you don't use them, read ol2-end.txt when you complete the episode.

Happy DooMing!
